Derek W. Freeman


Derek earned his JD from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. While there, he distinguished himself as an Associate Editor of the Colorado Law Review and as a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.  Since earning his law degree, Derek has represented clients in many areas of the law, including family law, criminal defense, landlord-tenant disputes, bankruptcy, and Social Security Disability.  He has represented clients in many arenas, including jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings, and appeals.


Prior to entering the legal field, Derek studied Asian Studies at Brigham Young University.  He also earned a master's degree in Asian Art History at the University of Kansas.

Derek is a member of the El Paso Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in the state of Colorado and at the United States District Court of Colorado.
