There are two types of bankruptcy available to consumers, and we can help with both of them.
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, also called liquidation bankruptcy, is a plan where you can eliminate all of your debt and start over. You must pass the means test to see if you qualify.
Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, also called repayment bankruptcy, is where you agree to pay back most, if not all, of your debts over a given period of time. If you make each payment on time and in full, whatever debt is left over at the end of the payment period will be eliminated. People who file this form of bankruptcy generally do so because they do not qualify for Chapter 7, or because they have a lot of assets that they want to protect.
